Q&A about employment

How much will I make?

 * Rides are not guaranteed. Just like other ride share companies it is based on demand. We do average 50-80 rides a day and have been in business for over 5 years. When people notice we have drivers available, we receive more business. Our rides start at $8 each. You should be able to complete 4 rides an hour. It is all based on how much you want to work. Just like any job, the more you work, the more you make.

Do I use my own vehicle?

*Yes

You are required to have a vehicle, full coverage insurance, add rideshare insurance after hired, and a valid license.

So I can smoke cigarettes while working?

*No

Some of our customers are allergic to cigarette smoke. If the customer wants to smoke, and you smoke that's fine. If not, most know no smoking.

Do you have a dress code?

* No.

Wear what is comfortable but presentable. Pj's are fine.  All I care about is that your vehicle is cleaned. No trash.

Do you run background checks?

* Yes. I am felony friendly based on the crime. I understand sometimes things happen.

Do you take out taxes?

*No.

You are a 1099 contractor. Yes I am your boss but you are paid by the customers so you file taxes as self employed. I can provide proof of employment when needed.

My only responsibility is picking up customers?

*No

We do have a calendar that each ride is added daily. This is like your time sheet. If it is not updated, you will not get paid.
After training, you maybe required to answer phones during your shift. Weekends we run a skeleton crew and sometimes you are the only one working. Which in return is more money for you. Multitasking is a MUST

Is this just like working for Uber?

*No

The only thing like Uber is you use your own vehicle. We have daily customers and when you do not show during your scheduled shift, you leave us short handed. Someone else still has to make sure our customers are picked up. This is a job no different than anywhere else.

Is it scary picking up customers?

*No

We have several customers that we pick up on a daily basis. You get an occasional person who is.. weird. Mostly it's woman and elder who just need a ride.

What is age requirements?

*18

I have a child, can I bring them?

*Yes

Of course the more seats you have available the more money you will make however, this is Mom's Transit. Almost every driver at one point and time has taken a child or two with them.

Does this cost me anything?

*Yes

I receive 1% of all rides and will be explained later.
